Drama Works Theatre Company presents: Barrymore by William Luce. Directed by Ed Wilhelms.
October 20, 21, 27, & 28 at 7:30 PM, and October 29 at 3:00 PM
Barrymore offers audiences a fascinating glimpse into the illustrious, yet scandalous, life of legendary actor John Barrymore. Largely a one-man play, Barrymore depicts the idolized stage and screen star a few months before his death in 1942 as he rehearses a revival of his triumphant Broadway performance of Richard III. Barrymore jokes with his imagined audience, spars with his prompter, reminisces about his siblings, Lionel and Ethel, and remembers the better times in his life.
Tickets for Barrymore are available online through dramaworkstheatre.org.
