A nameless refugee from Southeast Asia journeys around the United States searching for his family and his own identity. Navigating a landscape of kindness and cruelty, he encounters hoboes and bartenders, a human smuggler and, with a nod to Homer’s Odyssey, a one-eyed killer named Zyclo, a seductive nymph named Calista and a waiting Penelope – not his wife but possibly his mother, toiling in a sweatshop, and failing to recognize the young man who may be her son. Note: This is a Theatre for Young Audiences play, suitable for grades six and above.
