The Windham Theatre Guild continues their 2009-2010 Main Stage Theatre season with their mid-winter show Steel Magnolias...a heartwarming comedy opening February 5th at the Burton Leavitt Theatre, 779 Main Street, Willimantic.

Spend the evening in Truvy's Beauty Salon in Cinaquapin, Louisiana where six, strong Southern women come together to share their secrets and bare their souls with liberal doses of free advice and gossip. Robert Harling's enduring comedy is a heartfelt celebration of love, loyalty and the bonds of sisterhood. If you love the movie, you'll adore the stage version of this American classic.

Karyn Eves makes her WTG directorial debut with this heart-warming show. Karyn is a professor of English at Eastern Connecticut State University, this is her first time directing for the Windham Theatre Guild. The terrific all female cast will make you feel like you are in the salon with them.

Show dates are February 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, 19 & 20 at 8 pm and February 14 at 2 pm at the Burton Leavitt Theatre. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors (60+), $10 for ECSU, UConn and QVCC Students and $8 for children under 12.

There is row seating for all performances. Call 860-423-2245, or visit www.windhamtheatreguild.org.
