Westport Country Playhouse has been selected as the recipient of Whole Foods Market Westport's (399 Boston Post Road West) "Five Percent Day," on Wednesday, September 14, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., when five percent of the store's net sales for the day will go directly to support the historic theater.
"Five Percent Days" are part of Whole Foods Market's commitment to support not-for-profits in their communities. Four times per year, each store identifies local organizations that align with Whole Foods Market's mission.
While Whole Foods Market customers are stocking up on all natural groceries, local and organic produce, and more, they will also be helping support "theater worth talking about" at Westport Country Playhouse, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization in its 86th season.
"We thank Whole Foods Market for selecting The Playhouse for this fundraising opportunity," said Elizabeth Marks Juviler, Playhouse director of community engagement and special events. "Please visit the Westport store's website for the full range of products and specials and start writing your shopping list for September 14."
