Westport Community Theatre presents specially produced staged reading of Thornton Wilder's Our Town, tonight - Saturday, October 24 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm.

Please join us tonight, Saturday, October 24 at 7:30 pm for a staged reading performance of Thornton Wilder's beloved play "Our Town" at Westport Community Theatre. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play takes place in the small American town of Grover's Corner, New Hampshire, circa 1901 - 1913. It is the story of an average town's citizens as depicted through their everyday lives - funny, poignant, heartwarming and heartbreaking.

Performing roles of Grovers Corner townspeople we're honored and pleased to welcome Westport and Connecticut political and civic leaders who were colleagues and friends of Bill including Toni Boucher, Jim Marpe, Dewey Loselle, Jonathan Steinberg, Tony Hwang, Gail LaVielle, Martha Aasen, Charles Haberstroh, Bobbi Hermann, Jo Fuchs and more.

We are so pleased to be featuring a cast of veteran WCT actors lending their talents for this special event - Davina Porter, Lucy Babbitt, David Victor, Ann Kinner, Damian Long, Sam Mink, Richard Mancini, Alexander Kulcsar, Lisa Dahlstrom, Rob Pawlikowski, Mark Frattaroli, John Pyron, Laurel Lettieri, Tom Rushen, Damian Langan*, Gregoire Mouning* and more. They will be under the direction of long-time WCT director Ruth Anne Baumgartner (Souvenir, Ice Glen, The Glass Managerie and more).

Bill Meyer was a beloved friend and supporter of the town of Westport and Westport Community Theatre; he truly gave new meaning to the word "volunteer," and his warmth, energy, enthusiasm and support is greatly missed. We thought the best tribute we could give to thank Bill for his unending years of service to the theatre would be to establish a scholarship for a theatre department Staples High School senior who personifies the spirit of volunteerism that Bill lived every day.

Please reserve at the Box Office at 203-226-1983 by Friday, October 23.
