The Warner Stage Company will begin its Main Stage Musical Season with the beloved musical, Fiddler on the Roof on Saturday, November 2 at 8pm.
In the little village of Anatevka, Tevye, a poor dairyman (played by Joe Harding), tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Its celebrated score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, features songs loved the world over:"Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were A Rich Man" and "Matchmaker," to name a few. The production also stars Mary Johnson as Golde and Susan Hackel as Yente. Fiddler on the Roof is directed and choreographed by Donna Bonasera with musical director, TJ Thompson. Performances are Saturday, Nov. 2 & 9 at 8PM, Sunday, Nov 3 & 10 at 2pm and Friday, Nov. 8 at 8PM.
