WTG Presents OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS By Joe DiPietro

Over The River And Through The Woods was the opening production at the Burton Leavitt Theatre in 2003 and the WTG will bring this heartwarming comedy back to the BLT Stage after fifteen years. Tina Huey directs the extremely talented cast of actors, some of whom you have seen recently; some returning after a hiatus and some brand new to the WTG: Angela Dias, Bill Emerson, Debi Freund, Rachel Lyon, Ken Noll and Andrew Rosenstein.

Nick is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey, a nice young man who is very close to both sets of grandparents -- even joining them every Sunday for dinner. However, this family ritual is threatened the day Nick is offered the job he's been waiting for-marketing executive-in a city on the other side of the continent. As his grandparents ask how he could betray his family's love to move to Seattle (just for a job!) they deploy a series of schemes to keep Nick around. Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely-and single-Caitlin O'Hare as bait. Written with Joe DiPietro's trademark wit and warmth.
