Town Players of Newtown announces auditions for the comedy OFF OFF OFF BROADWAY by Connecticut playwright Shelley Abrams on Sunday and Monday, July 23 & 24, from 7-9 PM.

The story centers around an actor-director who leaves the fast-paced life of Broadway for a more tranquil existence on an island off Cape Cod. He is quickly followed by two actresses, an agent, a PR person, and a producer, all who try to entice him - and his work - back to New York.

Playwright Abrams of Bethlehem will also direct.

The production calls for four men and three women. Actors should be ready to read sides from the script. Town Players does not loan out copies of the script, but a PDF download is available at http://www.newtownplayers.org/actors/upcoming-auditions/. No appointment is necessary and all roles are available.

Rehearsals begin in late July/early August, and the production runs Friday and Saturday evenings, September 15 - October 7, with one Thursday evening performance and two Sunday matinees.

Auditions will take place at The Little Theatre, 18 Orchard Hill Road, Newtown.

All questions may be directed to info@newtownplayers.org.

Town Players' Little Theatre is a community theater, currently in its 82nd season, located on 18 Orchard Hill Road, just off Route 25 (a mile north of the Sand Hill Plaza) in Newtown, Conn.
