On Friday, October 13, TheatreWorks New Milford will host a talk-back with I Do! I Do! lyricist Tom Jones after the performance that evening.

Mr. Jones's best-known work is The Fantasticks, which ran Off-Broadway from 1960 until 2002, and the hit song from the same, "Try to Remember." Other songs from The Fantasticks include "Soon It's Gonna Rain," "Much More," and "I Can See It". He also wrote the screenplay for the 1995 feature film adaptation.

The show begins in 1895 with Michael and Agnes on their wedding day. Their vows behind them, they look forward to spending the rest of their lives together. We watch as they go through their wedding night jitters, raise a family and negotiate midlife crises. Michael eventually admits to his infidelity, and, although Agnes is angered by his actions, she forgives him and the couple reconciles. They rediscover how much they really need each other.

This production is under the direction of Brad Blake with musical direction by Charles Smith and features two of the area's most talented actors, Carey Van Hollen and JoNathan Jacobson.

"I Do! I Do!" is based on the Jan De Hartog play The Fourposter and the original Broadway production received seven Tony Award nominations. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays, and 2:00 p.m. on both Sunday matinees on October 1 and 22. Note, there will be NO performance on Friday 9/20.
