A world famous tenor, about to perform as "Othello", accidentally overdoses and is believed dead by Max, the opera company's assistant manager. Should Max get into costume and try to fool the audience? Find out when the Windham Theatre Guild presents Ken Ludwig's award winning comedy Lend Me A Tenor, running May 31st through June 9th at the Burton Leavitt Theatre.

Set in the 1930's, Lend Me A Tenor is a mad-cap screwball comedy that takes place when Tito Merelli, the fiery-tempered and world famous Italian superstar, arrives in Cleveland, Ohio to make his debut with the local opera company and promptly goes missing. As Saunders, the show's presenter conspires to cover for Tito's absence, placate his hot-blooded wife and distract his most passionate fans, chaos on a truly operatic level ensues.

Lend Me A Tenor is directed by Jim Hetrick, who has been acting in and directing plays up and down the east coast for over thirty years. Jim feels that Ken Ludwig's outrageous farce is one of the funniest shows he has ever been associated with. The cast is remarkable and the script is a pure comic geM. Starring in the show are Thayer Kitchen, Lindsay Kitchen (Halle), Jonathan Francois, Lori Lee, Robyn Lee, Barbie Shreier, Ken Noll and Bill Emerson.

Lend Me A Tenor runs May 31st & June 1, 7, & 8, 2013 at 8 pm, Thursday June 6 at 7:30pm and Sunday June 2 & 9, 2013 at 2 pm at the Burton Leavitt Theatre, 779 Main Street, Willimantic. Ticket prices are $17 for Adults, $14 for Students/Seniors, and $10 for children under 12. All UCONN, ECSU & QVCC students pay the discounted price of $12.
