The Hartt School Presents Its Annual Collage Concert 2/13

The Hartt School of the University of Hartford proudly presents its annual Collage Concert on Friday and Saturday, February 12 and 13, at 7:30 PM in Lincoln Theater, on the University of Hartford's West Hartford campus, 200 Bloomfield Avenue. A unique opportunity to experience the full range of performing arts disciplines in one evening, the Collage concert features talented students from all of Hartt's performing Divisions. Tickets (general admission) are free and may be obtained in person at the University of Hartford Box Office in Lincoln Theater, or by calling the Box Office at 860.768.4228 or 800.274.8587 to reserve. At Hartt's Collage Concert, there is something for everyone:

Theatre: This year's Theatre program includes scenes from Shakespeare's comedy Twelfth Night, and Brian Friel's play Translations as well as the musicals A Little Night Music, the developmental production of Band Geeks, and Into the Woods.
Dance: Dance performances for the evening include "Duet" from A Choreographic Offering, with choreography by Jose Limon; excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty, choreography by Marius Petipa, arranged and staged by Hilda Morales; and a piece choreographed by Katie Stevinson-Nollet.
Instrumental Music: Hartt Symphony Orchestra, Hartt Wind Ensemble, Hartt Percussion Ensemble, Hartt Viola Ensemble, and other smaller groups will present a diverse repertoire including "Mambo" from West Side Story, "Finale" from The Firebird, Samba Batucada (Carnival Music), a piece by Hartt Student Composer Jessica Turner entitled Rumpelstilzchen, and more.
Vocal Music: Vocal performances for the evening include The Hartt Chamber Choir performing Francis Poulenc's "Exultate Deo", and The Hartt Chorale performing Houston Bright's "I Hear a Voice A'Prayin."

The Hartt School is the comprehensive performing arts conservatory of the University of Hartford that offers innovative degree programs in music, dance, and theatre.
