The Hartt Community Division of the University of Hartford Hosts A Magical Dance Tea Party for Children 9/12

The Hartt Community Division of the University of Hartford will host a Magical Dance Tea Party for children ages 3 through 9 and their families. The free event will occur on Saturday, September 12, from 2:00 PM through 3:30 PM at the Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway (at the corner of Albany Avenue) in Hartford. Activities will include a free dance class, an elegant tea (juice) party, crafts, and the opportunity to have your photo taken with the Sugar Plum Fairy, star of The Nutcracker ballet, and Howie the Hawk, the intrepid mascot of the University of Hartford.

In addition, children will receive balloons, a discount certificate for Community Division dance classes, and other free gifts. Children will get to experience the joy of a children's ballet class and parents will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the Hartt Community Division's professional dance faculty.

No reservations are necessary. The Handel Performing Arts Center is located just minutes from the main University of Hartford campus and features state-of-the-art dance studios and theatre space, free parking, the stylish Backstage Café, and a People's United Bank branch.
