"Jason Robert Brown's 'The Last Five Years' is one of the most beautiful musicals of the new millennium,'" says director Kevin Connors. "This emotional and intimate musical deconstruction of a love affair and marriage takes place over a five-year period. Jamie, a young, talented up-and-coming Jewish novelist falls in love with Cathy, a Shiksa Goddess and struggling actress. The show speaks to audiences about relationships in a way that few new musicals do, with a brutally honest depiction of career, self-image, and identity; and the challenges those can have on a relationship. It is funny, moving, heartfelt, honest, and thought-provoking."
The cast of "The Last Five Years" includes two Broadway actors, Nicolas Dromard as Jamie and Jennifer Malenke as Cathy.
For the last 15 years, Nicolas Dromard has been traveling all over the United States and Canada performing on Broadway and in National Tours. He was most recently seen as Tommy DeVito in "Jersey Boys" on Broadway.
