Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc, the ridiculously entertaining non-profit theatre company specializing in theatre for family audiences has announced plans for its 2013/14 season which includes three new musicals and the Connecticut premiere of a recent off-Broadway hit.

At a recent fundraising event, producers Bert Bernardi and Jimmy Johansmeyer announced the young company's next season would be performed in its entirety at the Milford Center for the Arts in downtown Milford. "We've received a very warm reception by the Milford Fine Arts Council, the Downtown Milford Business Association and our audiences too," said Bernardi. "The intimate theatre space, convenient location, easy parking, and being steps away from shops and restaurants make this the perfect location for our company to thrive and grow," he added.

In October, Pantochino will debut "Porkenstein," based on the popular children's book by author Kathryn Lasky. Perfect fare for the Halloween season, the new musical is a mash up of the Frankenstein legend and the story of the Three Little Pigs. Performance dates are October 19-27.

"The Great Cinnamon Bear Christmas Radio Show" is the company's holiday musical which is based on a 1937 radio broadcast. The show follows both the whimsical story of brother and sister in search of a Christmas tree star led by a teddy bear, and the real life goings on of a live on-the-air radio broadcast. It will play December -29.

In Spring, the world premiere panto-musical, "Pirate Schmirate," will make its debut March 21-30. The story follows a boatful of lady pirates who discover an island of handsome princes. Bernardi along with composer Justin Rugg promise a no-holds-barred, ridiculously fun-filled production chock full of unexpected twists and turns.

Pantochino's After-Dark series for 'grown-up' audiences continues with the Connecticut premiere of Charles Busch's off-Broadway hit, "The Divine Sister." The play is an outrageous comic homage to nearly every Hollywood film involving nuns. Evoking such films as The Song of Bernadette, The Bells of St. Mary's, The Singing Nun and Agnes of God, the gleefully twisted tale is considered one of Busch's freshest and funniest works. Performance dates are May 16-24.

In addition, Bernardi and Johansmeyer have announced plans for Pantochino's Studio Four and Five, also in Milford. Theatre, acting and other performance related classes and workshops will be offered at their new space as well as a teen theatre company who will perform "Godspell Jr." in early 2014.
