Stamford loves comedy. When Stamford Center for the Arts (SCA) presented Lewis Black in February, he sold out. When AM Productions presented two shows of Louis C.K. just last Friday, both shows were sold out, within just a few weeks! The Palace Theatre also saw great crowds with comedy veterans Ron White and Bill Cosby in March. Building on those past successes, SCA is proud to announce "Gabriel Iglesias Stand-Up Revolution Tour" at the Palace Theatre Saturday, June 29th at 8:00pm. Tickets for SCA Members are on sale now, and tickets to the general public go on sale April 12th at 12noon at www.SCAlive.org.

"Comedians have long been a staple of programming for SCA," said Executive Director, Michael E. Moran, Jr. "We have enjoyed great success with comedians over the years, and we expect that Gabriel Iglesias will continue that tradition when he appears on the HARMAN Stage for the first time on June 29th."

Gabriel Iglesias has been described as witty, electrifying and a talented performer who has the ability to consistently deliver a uniquely hilarious comedy experience. His high-octane show is a sure-fire hit: a mixture of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring all his personal experiences to life. Gabriel's unique and animated comedy style has made him popular among fans of all ages.

"Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution," premiered on Comedy Central in October 2011 and was one of the highest rated stand-up series on the network. The series starred Gabriel, who hosted and performed stand-up material and featured an array of talented and diverse comedians, which he personally selected. The highly anticipated second season of "Stand-Up Revolution" was taped in Ft. Lauderdale and premiered on Comedy Central in the Fall of 2012. Gabriel was individually nominated for a 2012 ALMA Award in the category: Favorite TV Reality, Variety, or Comedy Personality or Act.

Tickets are on sale to SCA Members now. Tickets go on sale to the general public April 12th at 12noon and can be purchased at the SCA website, www.SCAlive.org or charged by phone with major credit cards by calling the SCA Box Office at 203-325-4466. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Palace Theatre box office in downtown Stamford, CT. The box office is open Monday-Friday from 10am to 6pm. The 2012-2013 season is made possible by SCA's Season Sponsors Seaboard Properties, Inc. and the Whittingham Family.
