STAGECRAFT: 50 Years of Design at Hartford Stage exhibit continues its tour of cultural locations throughout Connecticut, this time with a stop at the New England Carousel Museum now through May 14.

"The New England Carousel Museum is thrilled to be included in the Hartford Stage 50th Anniversary celebration exhibition that is touring Connecticut. We were delighted to have been selected as a venue for the exhibit and to see the costumes arrive at the Museum for display. We enjoyed working with the Hartford Stage staff to co-mingle our collections. Their costumes and our carousel pieces are splendid together," said Louise DeMars, Executive Director of the New England Carousel Museum.

The STAGECRAFT exhibit, in celebration of Hartford Stage's 50th anniversary season, consists of a selection of costumes, props and scenic elements from Hartford Stage's extensive collection. A hallmark of the theatre's work is the quality of the work that appears on stage, all of which is built here in Hartford. Scores of locally-based artists, craftspeople, and technicians created these pieces to animate the visions of some of the world's most prominent theatrical designers.

STAGECRAFT Remaining Tour Dates and Locations:
March 7 - May 14: New England Carousel Museum, Bristol
May 22 - August 10: William Benton Museum of Art at UConn, Storrs
