The first national tour of The Addams Family launched a few months before the Broadway production closed in December 2011. Following the disappointingly short run on Broadway, the production team changed the song order, added new ones, and even changed the focus of the show. So just like the first national tour was almost a completely different show than the original Broadway one, so this new tour, opening February 1, will be a revision of the first national tour. Not only is the production different, but so is the cast. Replacing the first tour's Douglas Sills (Tony nom., The Scarlet Pimpernel) as Gomez is Shakespearean actor Jesse Sharp, and Keleen Snowgreen will replace Sara Gettelfinger in the role of Morticia.
