"Unpack Your Adjectives" and "Do the Circulation" at the Hartford Children's Theatre production of SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE November 5 through November 14, 2010 at HCT's Carriage House Theatre (360 Farmington Avenue, Hartford).

Tickets are now on sale. Directed by HCT's Associate Artistic Director Ayla Kapiloff with musical direction by John DeNicola, SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE is the debut production of HCT's new touring division HCT ON THE ROAD. The program will tour productions directly to schools within Greater
Hartford and beyond, furthering HCT's mission of providing access and exposure to high quality theatre to young audiences.

A pop culture phenomenon comes to life on the HCT stage. The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs is instructing a whole new generation to "Unpack Your Adjectives" and "Do
The Circulations." Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such beloved "Schoolhouse Rock" songs as "Just A Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction." SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE is a nostalgic and educational experience for the whole family.

Based on the ABC-TV educational animated series, SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE features music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg, Kathy Mandry, George Newall and Tom Yohe.

The cast of SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE includes Justin Boudreau as "Tom," Christopher Cavallo as "Joe," Jamison Daniels as "George," Emely Larson as "Dori," Meagan MacLeod as "Dina" and Tori Mooney as "Shulie." Caitlin Sailer choreographs and serves as a swing.

Performances of HCT'S SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE will take place at The Carriage House Theatre located at Hartford Children's Theatre (360 Farmington Avenue, Hartford), easily accessible from I-84 and I-91. The performance schedule is as follows: Friday, November 5 at 7 pm; Saturday, November 6 at 2 & 7 pm; Sunday, November 7 at 2 pm; Friday, November 12 at 7 pm; Saturday, November 13 at 2 & 7 pm and Sunday, November 14 at 2 pm.
