Rita Rudner to Appear at Ridgefield Playhouse, 6/24

Las Vegas comedian Rita Rudner headlines at The Ridgefield Playhouse Friday, June 24  Rita Rudner is one of Las Vegas' best loved entertainers who will bring her comedy to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, June 24, at 8 p.m. Critics say she is as charming as she is funny. She has earned Las Vegas Review-Journal's "Best Comedian in Las Vegas" kudos for the last eight years. With a list of credentials that includes shows on HBO and PBS, in Carnegie Hall and at live sold-out shows in Las Vegas, Rita is one hot ticket. Rudner's first solo HBO special, Rita Rudner's One Night Stand, was nominated for several awards as was her English BBC/A&E television shows. Rita's HBO specials, Born to Be Mild and Married Without Children, were hits. She sold nearly a million tickets in a six-year run at New York-New York in Las Vegas in 2006 then moved on to a larger venue at Harrah's Las Vegas. She is under contract there to 2012, but you can catch her in the intimate theater of The Ridgefield Playhouse.
Also an author, Rita has penned two novels, Tickled Pink and Turning the Tables, and her non-fiction titles Naked Beneath My Clothes and Rita Rudner's Guide to Men have been best-sellers. Her latest work is a book of essays, I Still Have It...I Just Can't Remember Where I Put It.
