The Ridgefield Theater Barn will present Becky's New Car, a charming comedy by Steven Dietz, directed by Sherry Asch and produced by Cheryl Boyd, starting Friday, November 15th. The play, an endearing look at the choices we make and their inevitable consequences, will run Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm through December 7th, with Sunday matinees at 2pm on November 24th and December 1st.
If you've ever been tempted to flee your own life, meet Becky Foster. Caught in middle age, in middle management and in a middling marriage, she feels there has to be more out there for her, but doesn't see any prospects for change on the horizon...until her daily routine of working at a car dealership is flipped upside down. Enter a socially-inept millionaire and next thing you know, Becky has stumbled into an affair and a double life. She is offered nothing short of a new life-and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn't dare. Featuring a very talented cast of Maria de Vries, Tim Huebenthal, Ryan Wenke, Philip Cook, Sam Cassano, Dennis McGrath and Laurel Lettieri, Becky's New Car is a heartwarming treat audiences won't want to miss.
Tickets are $24/adults and $20/students and seniors. Seating is cabaret style, and doors open one hour prior to curtain. Audiences are encouraged to bring food and drink to enjoy before the show and during intermission. The Ridgefield Theater Barn is located at 37 Halpin Lane.
