When Chef and TV star Robert Irvine is in the house, it is sure to be a cooking show like no other! The star of Food Network's Restaurant: Impossible, The Cooking Channel's Dinner: Impossible and a new show that premieres in November, Restaurant Express on the Food Network, Chef Irvine makes putting a meal together a media extravaganza.... just in time for at-home cooks to get some tips before the holidays at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, November 17, at 8 p.m. Irvine will walk into the theater with no knowledge of what he is about to face and cook in his multimedia, multi-sensory style. There will be a wine & cheese tasting in the lobby at 7:15 p.m.; a chef's signing of gift items will follow. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Hillside Food Outreach; ticket holders are encouraged to bring a canned food item for Hillside Food Outreach's Annual Food Drive. For tickets ($67; $150 VIP Gold Circle includes 6:30 p.m. cooking demo & backstage access), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or buy tickets online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.

Will Chef Irvine be up to the culinary challenges that will face him at The Ridgefield Playhouse? For this celebrity chef, cooking is an athletic event, a mere vehicle for a crazy and entertaining ride. Brand new music and video content specifically produced for this show combine seamlessly with the cooking to provide an experience like no other. Multiple cameras will be set up on stage to provide a close-up view of the master at his craft. Audience members should expect to participate, rather than sit and watch, and even become Chef Irvine's sous chefs.

Robert Irvine has cooked his way through Europe, the Far East, the Caribbean and across America on his two hit Food Network series, "Dinner: Impossible" and "Restau- rant: Impossible". He is the author of Mission: Cook! - My Life, My Recipes, And Making The Im- possible Easy.
