There will be an on-stage reading of the film by the actors of Put It Into Wordsat The Ridgefield Playhouse on Thursday, October 3, at 7 p.M. Adam Pierce directed the film. A cocktail reception will take place in the lobby at 6:15 p.m. for all ticket holders. Put It Into Words is about a teenager struggling to find his identity in a coming-of-age scenario. His inner turmoil puts him into direct conflict at home and in school as his passage intersects with five other lives that are dramatically altered as a result of their relationship with him. The character of the teacher in the film is the inspiration for the tormented teen to follow his heart and make decisions that are right for him, despite being pulled in different directions by loved ones and friends. ?Media sponsor is WSHU Public Radio Group.
What is truly unique about the story of Put It Into Words is the opportunity to witness the power that an educational program and dynamic teacher have on shaping if not ultimately changing lives aka "life's lessons". These lessons influence not only the main character's decisions and trajectory of his life but that of the other characters as well. The distinctive qualities and behavior traits learned by the cast in this film were developed by Tim Salem and subsequently shared with colleagues in the Greater Danbury area.
