Meredith Atkinson Playhouse on Park (www.playhouseonpark.org) present Pulitzer Prize Winner David Mamet's Modern Classic, Oleanna.

Oleanna presents two perspectives in three riveting acts, where audience members will find themselves pondering the drama's provocative grey areas long after the final curtain. Directed by Playhouse on Park's very own Director of Education Dawn Loveland, Oleanna is an edge of your seat drama expounding upon themes of power, manipulation and human perception. Mamet explores power dynamics between a male university professor and one of his female students, where their discussion of curriculum soon spirals into a fragmented conversation rife with misunderstanding. Controversial questions come into play in a war of words between a man on the cusp of receiving tenure and the woman who threatens his once so certain future.

Featured in this production are: David M. Farrington (Playhouse on Park: Chasuble THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. New York: Uncle Peck HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE, Russell BAPTIZED) as John and, in her Playhouse on Park debut, West Hartford native Moira O'Sullivan (Atlantic Theater Company: Multiple Roles ATLANTIC FARM TEAM: AN EVENING OF SKETCH COMEDY, Lana, THE MCDONALD'S PLAYS; Bated Breath Theater: Ensemble WILD THINGS; Ivoryton Playhouse: Edna AN INSPECTOR CALLS) as Carol. Named after a 19th century Norwegian folk song describing a vision of utopia, Oleanna is as timely now as it was when it was originally penned nearly 25 years ago. Due to strong language and adult content, Oleanna is recommended for ages 16 and up. Oleanna runs May 21-May 31.

Tickets are now on sale, ranging from $20-$22.50, and can be purchased in person, over the phone, or online. Call the box office at 860-523-5900 x10 or visit www.playhouseonpark.org. Playhouse on Park is located at 244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT 06119.
