Playhouse on Park Sets Season Eight's Mainstage Series

Playhouse on Park is thrilled to announce the 2016-17 Main Stage Season. "We've chosen seven diverse productions that are sure to educate, entertain and challenge our audiences. We know there is something for everyone," says Tracy Flater, Executive Director of Playhouse on Park, West Hartford's only non-profit professional theater.

Season Eight opens with hilarious musical Little Shop of Horrors by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman running from September 14-October 16, followed by: Unnecessary Farce by Paul Slade Smith, November 2-20; [title of show] music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and book by Hunter Bell, January 11-29; Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten, February 15-March 5; stop/time dance theater's Rockin' The Forest, conceived, directed and choreographed by Playhouse co-founder Darlene Zoller, March 29-April 9; Last Train To Nibroc by Arlene Hutton, April 26-May 14; and the return of a favorite Playhouse production (and cast!) The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) - Revised Edition by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, June 28-July 30.

Subscriptions to the 2016-17 Main Stage Season are on sale now for renewing/returning subscribers and will be available to the general public beginning June 15. Individual subscriptions offer a 20% savings over individual ticket prices and include the ability to exchange to different nights, first right to same seats, etc. Prices range in price from $98 for Preview nights, $184 - $240 for regular performances (price varies pending seat, additional discounts available for seniors & Let's Go Arts members) and $325 for the special Producer's Circle which includes added benefit. Individual tickets to all Playhouse performances will go on sale August 1.
