Playhouse On Park to Host Young Actor Training Summer Program, Begin. 7/1

If your kids love theatre and want to learn more about acting and being onstage sign up for Playhouse on Park's Young Actor Training Summer Program! July 1st through July 12nd and July 29th through August 9th, 2013 Playhouse on Park is offering three levels of actors' training programs for kids K-8 with Dawn Loveland, the director of education at Playhouse on Park.

The first level, Creative Kids, is for children K-2 from 9-11am. This class will introduce children to theatre through creative play. The class will focus on acting, storytelling, puppetry, music, and movement. There will be another session of Creative Kids July 29th through August 9th. The second level, Young Actors, is for students entering grades 3-5 from 12:45-2:45pm. This class has emphasis on developing character, doing scene work, story telling, puppetry, music and dance. The highest level, Actors Onstage, is for students entering grades 6-8 from 3-5pm. This class focuses on acting through the voice and the body, storytelling games, improvisation exercises, monologue and scene work, and movement.

All classes are July 1st through July 12th (no class July 4th) and the Creative Kids' second session July 29th through August 9th at Playhouse On Park.
