The plot unfolds when a group of women decide to support their friend in an unfortunate circumstance. When her husband dies, Annie and her Yorkshire Women's Institute members COME TOGETHER to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room by posing for a calendar.... COMPLETELY IN THE NUDE. Positioned behind flowers, cakes, and knitting projects, the women discover what it means to be confident in their own skin and the shining beauty within themselves and each other. Based on a true story, this hilarious play will leave you feeling better about life than when you entered the theatre.
Before the show, there was no shortage of chatter among the audience. It seemed as if there was already a great deal of conversation in the community about this new production at the Little Theatre. As the seats began to fill up, and fill up they did, there seemed to be a question on most everyone's mind. What was this talk of "strategically placed nudity"? Would the cast really be revealing themselves for the sake of the arts? By the end of the production, the audience had their answer and seemed both shocked and entertained. It was yet another world class performance at this hidden gem of a theatre in the heart of Manchester's Historic District
