Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc., a non profit professional theatre company for family audiences has opened it's new musical comedy, "Dractastic!," continuing at the Center for the Arts in Downtown Milford through November 1st.
"Dractastic!" is a comical pop rock retelling of the vampire legend set in the world of rock music. In this original version by Bert Bernardi and Justin Rugg, 'Drac' is a rock star who woos fans with his captivating music and songs. "We've created the perfect Halloween season musical, filled with lots of gags and laughs for audiences of all ages to enjoy," said Bernardi.
Feature in the cast are Jimmy Johansmeyer, Mary Mannix, Shelley Marsh Poggio, Jeremy Tortora, Andrea Pane, George Spelvin, Rugg, Sabrina Henderson, Kylie Poggio and Katie Harris. "Dractastic" features sets by Von Del Mar, lighting by Jeff Carr, and costumes by Johansmeyer. The production stage manager is Jeff Therklesen.
Pantochino Productions Inc. celebrates it's fifth season of its 'ridiculously entertaining' 100% original musical theatre for family audiences in the greater New Haven area. The company has been awarded for its artistic achievements and recognized for its contributions to the community.
New this season, Pantochino offers "Party Performances" at it's Saturday 2pm shows only. For these performances, audiences will be seated at tables and chairs and are invited to bring their own food and drink to be enjoyed during the show.
"Dractastic" will be performed October 30th at 7:30pm, October 31st at 2pm and November 1st at 2pm. Tickets are $18. online, or $20. at the door. Advance tickets are strongly suggested. The intimate Milford Center for the Arts is located at 40 Railroad Avenue South on the east bound side of the Metro-North tracks. Free parking is available in the train station lots.
