We've got your first look at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre's all-new musical version of THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG - and it's far from the story you remember!

Opening this weekend, the exciting adaption by resident playwright Phill Hill, turns the classic tale on its head. "When a young princess is unable to find a suitable prince, she turns to a very unlikely friend to help her," the summary reads. "Little does she know that the secret to her happiness is right under her nose in this brand new musical that shows sometimes true love can be found in the least likely of places."
The family-friendly show is directed by Frank Root (who recently helmed the theatre's beloved adaption of ANNIE), Choreographed by Cassie Carroll and Musical Directed by Aron Smith (a duo that frequently graces the theatre with their talents). Starring Mikayla Petrilla (Princess Eloise) and Robert Peterpaul (Frog/Prince Wesley) in the title roles, the cast consists of Connecticut Children's Theatre favorites. Karen Hanley (Queen Helene) and Jason Parry (Jethro) make up Eloise's royal household, while Corinne Marshall (Desiree), Andrea Pane (Neville) and Ashley DePascale (Havalena) crash the kingdom in a hilarious manner.
So, round up the kids and your favorite snacks (to take full advantage of the Cabaret's unique "Bring Your Own Picnic" atmosphere), and catch this fun song-filled adventure before it hops away!
