Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc. will open its new musical spoof, "Glam Kitty Squad," today, March 23rd for a limited engagement at the Milford Center
for the Arts on Railroad Avenue in Milford, Connecticut.

The family-friendly pop musical, featuring book and lyrics by Bert Bernardi and music by Justin Rugg, spoofs television serials from Charlie's Angels to Batman. Set in a campy, make-believe feline world, the show follows three mild-mannered kittens by day, who become crime-stopping heroes by night! Each of the show's two acts features a different adventure with new characters for the glamorous trio to capture, and to rescue.

"In the first act, the kitties seek out a mysteriously missing and treasured trinket while the second act is a hilarious canary caper, complete with flying feathers," said Bernardi. "It's truly a laugh-a-minute show for audiences of all ages to enjoy," he added.

"Glam Kitty Squad" features an ensemble cast including Jimmy Johanmeyer, Mary Mannix, Shelley Marsh Poggio, Marcia Maslo, Peyton Iott and Jennifer Smith. Composer/Musical Director Rugg will also appear in the show as one of the comical villains. Johansmeyer will create the 'glam' costumes for the cast, with sets by Von Del Mar, lighting by Joey Moro and sound by Bryan Hagemann. Bernardi will stage and direct.

Performances of "Glam Kitty Squad" are today, March 23rd at 2pm, Saturday March 30th at 2 & 5:30pm, Friday April 5th at 7:30pm and Sunday, April 7th at 2pm. The show will also play Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury on Saturday, April 13th at 11am. Milford Center for the Arts is located at 40 Railroad Avenue in Milford on the northbound side of the Milford train station. Tickets are $16. and available online at www.pantochino.com.
