Pantochino Productions Inc. has launched an on online fundraising campaign via Kickstarter to continue to bring original theatre for the entire family to New Haven. The company, led by Bert Bernardi and Jimmy Johansmeyer, is scheduled to launch it's second season in October.
"Our first season in New Haven was a huge success," said Bernardi, "But the high cost of renting rehearsal and performance space is a challenge," he added. "Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 which will cover those expenses," said Johansmeyer. "We're reaching out to our audiences, family, friends, the people of New Haven and anyone else who wants to continue to see fresh, original family theatre thrive," he continued. The Kickstarter campaign is called "Be Our Hero" and features a silent film style plea for support. It is viewable at the following link:
Pantochino's second season will feature three new musicals by Bernardi and composer
Justin Rugg; "The Groovie Ghoulies," "Glitz: The Little Miss Christmas Pageant Musical" and "Glam Kitty Squad" and also Pantochino's first "after dark" series production, the area premiere of
Douglas Carter Beane's "The Little Dog Laughed." More information about the company is available at
