Pantochino Productions Inc. will "Celebrate Ridiculous!" as it debuts two new shows as part of a fundraising event on May 24th at the Center for the Arts in Milford, Connecticut.
The company's founders,
Bert Bernardi and
Jimmy Johansmeyer, will host the event and announce new plans, programs and show titles for their third season. A new comedy, "The Wicked Stage," by Joe Landry ("It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play") takes a peek in the dressing room of a vaudeville theatre where a young Ethel May Potter meets the man of her dream, Fred Mertz. The one-act comedy offers a saucy, fun-filled glimpse at how one of America's best loved couples might have met! Also featured in the evening is "Special Breakfast," by Bernardi and composer
Justin Rugg. Direct from its debut at NYU's 4@15, is this sizzling odd-ball musical about a teen aged stoner and his down-on-her-luck mother who find themselves in the national spotlight following an altercation over a plate of bacon.
Featured in the cast are Evan Faram, Adrienne Griffiths,
Shelley Marsh Poggio, Marcia Maslo, Jeremy Tortora,
Katie Durham,
Tess Brown, Raymond Arnold and Johansmeyer.
"It's going to be quite an evening with food, fun, friends and of course some ridiculous entertainment," said Bernardi. "And we have some very exciting announcements to make about our third season. We can't wait to share the news," he added.
"Celebrate Pantochino!" will also feature food, wine, silent auction and raffle items. The Center for the Arts is located at 40 Railroad Avenue, on the northbound side of the Milford train station. Tickets to the fundraising event are $30. each. Reservations can be made by calling
