Riding on the heels of New Paradigm Theatre's (NPT) sold-out, multi-ethnic production of "Oliver-Reinvented", at Fairfield Theatre's Warehouse space last summer, NPT will continue their "collective impact" productions, bridging the gap between the arts and the local community, with the beloved musical "Peter Pan" Aug 26th and 27th.

Last year's "Oliver" highlighted the theme of that show (poverty and hunger...to hope) by showcasing the work of their premiere nonprofit partner, The Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport which hosts soup kitchens and pantries. By aligning with this partner non profit, NPT helped raise donations during the show and the cast volunteered at the soup kitchen during the rehearsal process. Many new volunteers signed up to help serve at the soup kitchens and conduct food drives.

This year's "Peter Pan-Reimagined" ties in the idea of "stimulating a child's imagination so they can create a better world" and NPT's Premier Non Profit Partner is KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support). KEYS' mission is to bring one-to-one instrument lessons and group music instruction to underserved inner-city children.

During the rehearsals and classes youth from Lower Fairfield as well as youth from KEYS will participate side-by-side with Broadway pros to create this production of Peter Pan, fulfilling NPT's mission of fostering creative problem solvers, leaders, and global citizens through theatre arts education and productions.

Emmy and Oscar winner Paul Bogaev will again be the musical producer as well as playing the role of "Hook"! Martin Marchitto will stage direct and design. Scott Bryce and Holleran Media will produce special effects.

As partnerships between the nonprofit and for-profit world continue to form in order to tackle social challenges from all sides, this type of collective impact production has become increasingly relevant and a vital component of a community. Doors will open one hour prior to performance for our "Prologue Bazaar" and all children (and children at heart) are encouraged to dress in their favorite Pirate or Pixie outfit! There will also be a raffle tickets for sale for TWO tickets to HAMILTON on Broadway.
