Original Broadway Stars Set for Summer Theatre of New Canaan's MAMMA MIA NIGHT!, 11/14

The Summer Theatre of New Canaan will be presenting MAMMA MIA NIGHT! on Saturday, November 14th at 7:30 p.m. The evening features seven cast members from one of Broadway's longest running shows, MAMMA MIA!. They will be performing the hit ABBA songs from the show at HALO Studios in New Canaan, CT, including Dancing Queen, The Winner Takes It All, Does Your Mother Know, Lay All Your Love On Me, Mamma Mia and many more.

"You might describe the night as a club theatre experience, with fun, interactive performances, audience dancing and singing," explained Melody Meitrott Libonati, founding artistic director for the Summer Theatre of New Canaan. "The Broadway audiences regularly were out of their seats singing and dancing with the cast!"

The seven MAMMA MIA! alumni performing are Corinne Melançon, Jeff Applegate, Elena Ricardo, Thomasina Gross, Neil Starkenberg, and married couple Christopher Hudson Myers and Rachel MacIsaac, who will lead the cast while sharing special anecdotes about their time with the show on Broadway and on the road across America with the national tour. The audience is encouraged to sing along and join the dance party lead by the actors. Throughout the night, a silent auction will be held offering tickets to the hottest shows on Broadway, dinners at New Canaan's finest restaurants and gifts from local merchants, with drinks and desserts served as well. The best dancer in the audience will be crowned the Dancing Queen during this one-night-only special event.

Tickets for MAMMA MIA NIGHT! are $65 online at www.stonc.org or by phone (203)966-4634 if purchased by November 13th, or $80 if purchased at the door at HALO Studios, located at 45 Grove St. Ticket price includes admission, desserts and first drink/beverage.
