The Northeast Children's Theatre Company (NCTC), a professional not-for-profit theatre company for young audiences and families, is proud to kick off its second season in residence at the Fairfield Theatre Company with "The Cat In The Hat," a wildly popular stage adaptation based on the Dr. Seuss book of the same name. The production is directed by Morgan Weitz and features an adapted book by Katie Mitchell.

The cat in the hat is the perfect friend for a boring rainy afternoon. From games and mischief to Thing One and Thing Two, the Cat brings all sorts of trouble into this gloomy day - but will Sally and her brother be able to explain the mess to Mother? This Dr. Seuss classic leaps onto the stage with chaotic exuberance in this adaptation direct from The National Theatre in London.

"The Cat In The Hat" runs as a limited two-week engagement from Saturday, October 26 through Sunday, November 3 at Fairfield Theatre Company's StageOne in downtown Fairfield. This production is best for children of all ages and perfect for the entire family. Tickets can be purchased by calling 203-259-1036 or visiting www.NCTCompany.org.

The season is generously sponsored by Minuteman Press of Milford, D'Arcangelo & Company, and Bright Horizons Family Solutions.
