Ms. Orofino will be accompanied by legendary musicians Daryl Kojak on piano and John Loerhke on bass. Louis Pietig is director.
Ms. Orofino has been enchanting sold out audiences with her sultry voice from New York City's legendary Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room to Napa Valley's Silverado Country Club for the last two decades. Her nightclub engagements include the Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza Hotel and Danny's Skylight Room. Miss Orofino's musical theatre credits include the MTC MainStage production of "Nite Club Confidential" at Westport Country Playhouse. Her other New York credits include Reno Sweeney in "Anything Goes," Miss Hannigan in "Annie" and Mother Abbess in "The Sound of Music." Her CDs include "Moonlight Cocktails."
"I had such a great time, I had to go back again. Leslie's a winner with sex appeal that sells each and every song," says cabaret legend Julie Wilson. And Elizabeth Ahlfors of "Cabaret Scenes" says "Her connection to the audience is tops as she tosses her boa to a ringside gentleman... she can growl into a belt or bring a soulful tone to torch songs. Well paced and polished." Ms. Orofino recently said "I have always loved the music of the '30s and '40s mainly because my dad filled our home with his gorgeous tenor voice singing those songs and passed his love of them on to his first born of four daughters -- me. I love performing and am so blessed to have appeared across the country."
Leslie Orofino's "Red Hot and Blues is sponsored in part by Colonial Drugs.
