Milford Arts Council, The MAC presents a two-day indoor blues and bluegrass festival called The Souped Up Blues Grass Bash on January 12 and 13. It's an indoor weekend music festival that'll warm your heart, and a fantastic way to forget about a cold January weekend in the dead of winter!

On Saturday, January 12th, Deadgrass, an acoustic five piece string band celebration interpreting the music of Jerry Garcia & the Dead, will perform at 8pm. Reserved seating $30in advance or $35 at the door.

On Sunday, January 13th, an indoor music festival will feature four blues and bluegrass bands, with nearly 4 hours of music, and free soups & breads from area restaurants. * Wool Hats, Hitch & the Giddyup, Longmeadow Bluegrass, and headliners: The Meadows Brothers will all be pickin' and singin' their hearts out from 4-8pm. General admission $45

Attendees can come to one or both events. Tickets can be bundled for both days for $15 off at $60 per ticket.

Deadgrass Band is from NYC, featuring Matt Turk and Grammy award winner C Lanzbom joining forces with Michael Donovan/fiddle, vocals, Russ Gottlieb/banjo, and David Richards/bass, vocals. Web music authority, All Music Guide, calls Matt Turk "...an artist to be reckoned with."

Armada Brewery will be pouring their Lost Beach IPA and Neptune Dagger Pale Ale over the weekend. Armada Brewery launched in January 2017 and has since been on a crusade to build a community around their fleet of beers. Founded by John Kraszewski, a Connecticut native, Armada Brewing is located at Connecticut's first collaborative brew space The Beeracks in East Haven CT .

The Souped Up Blues Grass Bash Contest

In conjunction with the weekend Milford Arts Council is sponsoring a special contest and giving away free tickets to the fastest and funniest video post of participants saying "Souped Up Blues Grass Bash" five times fast on social media. Follow Instagram (milford.arts) or facebook (Milford Arts Council) for more information. The winners will be announced every Friday!
