LiVE@theMAC is proud to present The Meadows Brothers and their gut-bucket, dirtroad, twangy spirit to downtown Milford on Friday, March 23rd at 8:00PM. Their distinct brand of roots music draws from inspiration from a huge list of influences; combining Folk, Blues, Country and Rock n' Roll genres into what the Boston Globe calls "An engaging twangy sibling sound all their own."
The brothers' original songs, which they typically write together, have been lauded for their emotive, relatable lyrics and memorable hooks. They have performed hundreds of shows around their native New England (including winning CT Folk's songwriting contest), the Midwest, the Great Lakes Regions and the Southeast; continuing to hone their craft and enjoying new audiences along the way. "Dustin and Ian Meadows prove that roots music is an unending resource, turning early influences gleaned from The Band and Gillian Welch into an engaging twangy sibling sound all their own." - THE BOSTON GLOBE
Chip McCabe of Lonesome Noise exclaims, "Blending folk and country with a blues edge, the brothers Meadow pack a powerful punch for being just two dudes armed with only a couple of acoustic guitars and a harmonica. But their harmonies are the type of stuff only siblings can usually muster and their songs smack of souls much older than their earthly years would let on."
The LiVE@theMAC concert series is sponsored by Berchem Moses, Attorneys and Counselors at Law. The Milford Center for the Arts has been called "the sweetest little theater along the Connecticut shoreline," featuring an intimate, cabaret setting with outstanding acoustics. This series incorporates a BYOEE (Bring Your Own Everything But the Entertainment) vibe, but wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks are available in the Speakeasy Lounge.
