An All the President's Men for the 21st century, we follow international lawyer Philippe Sands on a journalistic adventure, tracking down Bush administration officials to find the truth about Guantanamo Bay - did the United States government sanction torture in the wake of 9/11? This true story of a government at odds with its moral compass uses Sands' book "Torture Team" as a basis. The reading also uses video clips from Judgment at Nuremberg, "24," presidential addresses and interviews, contemporary journalism, and material from Murat Kurnaz's Five Years of My Life: An Innocent Man in Guantanamo, a memoir chronicling his unjust imprisonment at the hands of U.S. authorities.
