Eastbound Theatre, a division of the Milford Arts Council, is excited to present the first show of its 23rd season, the hilarious farce, The Fox on the Fairway, by Ken Ludwig.

?Ludwig is an American playwright best known for his whimsical comedies which include the Tony Award winner Lend Me A Tenor, the musical Crazy For You which won the Tony award for Best Musical, and his work An American in Pariswhich was recently revived on Broadway and received three Tony awards in 2015.

Directed by Kevin Pelkey, The Fox on the Fairway is full of mistaken identities, romantic shenanigans, and crazy characters, thus paying homage to the genre of the classic farce. The plot revolves around the approaching annual inter-club golf tournament between the Quail Valley and Crouching Squirrel Country Clubs, and the club members, who will do anything and everything to win. In the end, no matter who wins the tournament, everyone will enjoy this fast-paced comedy and its endearing cast.

Director Kevin Pelkey explains, "I love the challenge of directing a farce - the timing and innuendo that go along with it.Ken Ludwig writes some of my favorite shows, so I knew Fox on the Fairway would be a great piece to stage, and it does not disappoint. It also does not hurt to have such a talented cast to make it really funny."

Featuring Barry Hatrick of Milford, Margie Johnson of Milford, Brian Riley of New Haven, Sarah Springer of Fairfield, Kiel Stango of Waterbury, and Cecelia Kurachi Ube of Cheshire, the production will run from September 30 through October 16, 2016 at the Milford Center for Arts. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8pm, Sunday matinees are at 2pm.

Tickets are $20.00 general admission, $18.00 for seniors and students and $16.00 for MAC members. Go towww.milfordarts.org or call 203-878-6647 to purchase tickets. And please note that this play contains adult language and situations.
