After a false start with a cancellation of last month's NEVER THE SINNER - to be rescheduled sometime in 2017 - Evenings@7 begins on April 11, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. with a reading of David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize-winning dark comedy GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS.
Real estate is not for the faint of heart. GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS is the story of cutthroat sales people who try to grind out a living by peddling worthless land in a desperate attempt to keep their jobs and maybe even win a Cadillac. Playwright David Mamet is at his best, using the profane poetry of modern real estate sales people who cajole, connive, and wheel and deal as they scramble to claim their fair share of the American dream.
GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS is produced and directed by Little Theatre of Manchester member Shane William Kegler (East Hartford), and features an all-female cast, including Alyssa Auriemma (Manchester), Debi Freund (Bolton), Elizabeth Swan (East Hartford), Sarach Oschmann (Windham), Rayah Martin (Manchester), Angela Dias (Colchester), Jennifer Jensen (West Hartford), and Samantha Figueroa (Ashford).
This is a FREE event and no reservations are required! For more information regarding GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS or the Evenings@7 series, call the Box Office at 860-647-9824.
Evenings@7 offers FREE presentations of intimate script-in-hand play readings. Open to the public, these ONE-NIGHT ONLY performances are part of Little Theatre's mission to develop art and artists. This series, featuring both established plays and musicals and new works, enables local talent to grow in their craft by performing for live audiences in a casual atmosphere with minimal production elements. The 2017 season features TORCH SONG TRILOGY by Harvey Fierstein and produced by Johnny Revicki on May 9; DUCK HUNTER SHOOTS ANGEL by Mitch Albom and produced by Linda Ferreira on September 12; DRACULA by Hamilton Deane and John Balderston, from the Novel by Bram Stoker, and produced by Mitch Hess on October 10; and FINAL ARRANGEMENTS written and produced by Scott Kegler on November 14.
