Little Theatre Of Manchester Presents Evenings @7: REASONS TO BE PRETTY Image

Join us for another season of amazing, free play readings as part of our 2019 Evenings@7 series.

When Greg makes a seemingly harmless comment about his girlfriend Steph's "regular" looking face, the information gets back to Steph and sends their relationship over the deep end. Greg's life spirals out of control when Steph leaves him, and he has to come to terms with what he has said. Greg's best friend Kent is married to Steph's best friend Carly, and when things start collapsing in Steph and Greg's life, Carly and Kent are pulled in for the ride. We see Greg, Steph, Carly and Kent deal with the pressures of what it means to be 'pretty', and observe how the four friends manage the infidelity, betrayal and deceit that creeps into their lives.

Evenings@7 offers FREE presentations of intimate script-in-hand play readings. Open to the public, these ONE-NIGHT ONLY performances are part of Little Theatre's mission to develop art and artists. This series, featuring both established plays and musicals and new works, enables local talent to grow in their craft by performing for live audiences in a casual atmosphere with minimal production elements. The 2019 season continues with Monica Wood's THE PAPERMAKER produced by Mark O'Donnell on April 16th and OTHER DESERT CITIES written by John Robin Baitz and produced by Angela Dias on May 14th.

Shows are open to the public & free of charge, however, donations are gladly accepted.
