Laura Osnes Set To Visit Connecticut Students For Broadway At Center Stage This March Image

Last year, Center Stage Theatre unveiled a new performance series for their education students and guests called Broadway at Center Stage. The event brings Broadway stars to Shelton to talk about their experiences growing up in the theater, their personal journeys to Broadway, and their best advice for being successful in the world of professional theater. The evening is capped off with a Q&A, a performance, and a meet and greet with the audience.

Previously, Center Stage Theatre welcomed Barrett Wilbert Weed (Mean Girls) and Telly Leung (Aladdin). Next up, on Monday March 18th at 5:00pm is Laura Osnes whose Broadway credits include Cinderella, Bonnie and Clyde, and Bandstand. Coming up, Laura will star in a concert production of The Scarlet Pimpernel alongside Tony Yazbeck, presented by Manhattan Concert Productions, on February 18.

Tickets for the Broadway at Center Stage series are $25 each and will be available for presale to CSEC students from Monday, February 4th through Sunday, February 10th before going on sale to the public on Monday, February 11th. Tickets will be available at centerstageshelton.org or by calling the box office at (203) 225-6079. All proceeds benefit Center Stage Theatre's growing education program.

Center Stage Theatre is a non-profit, 501-(c)3, organization founded in 2005 by artistic directors Gary and Francesca Scarpa. Center Stage's purpose is to enhance the cultural environment within its community; to present high quality theatrical productions at affordable prices; to encourage growth and education through the performing arts; and to provide a means for interested adults, teens, and children to experience and participate in various aspects of live theater.
