What's your story? Is it a movie? Find out in Writing Movies: What's Your Story, a 6-week screenwriting workshop at The Ridgefield Playhouse! Over the course of this class, you will discover and flesh out a movie idea that you are deeply connected to. This class, taught by filmmaker and screenwriter Katie Torpey, focuses on Katie's unique method of how to figure out one of your personal stories by looking at your life and experiences and putting the pieces of the story puzzle together. You will learn the fundamentals of storytelling, screenplay structure and character development. You will turn your newfound story idea into a well-mapped out movie. This workshop is about discovering the writer within you and giving you the confidence to write a story you are meant to tell. Writing Movies: What's Your Story runs Thursdays 7:30pm - 9:30pm, April 12, - May 24 (no class May 3) at The Ridgefield Playhouse, part of the HamletHub Whole New You Series and partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa and Reliance Merchant Services. Space is limited.
