Hartford Stage Young Company, in conjunction with the Greater Hartford Arts Council's Neighborhood Studios, has announced the cast of Breakdancing Shakespeare: Two Gentlemen of Verona.

The cast of Breakdancing Shakespeare: Two Gentlemen of Verona includes Jimille Bowers of Hartford as Proteus; Ronnie S. Bowman Jr. of Windsor as Valentine;Dana Clarke of East Hartford as Antonio; Julio Cruz of East Hartford as Ensemble; Taylor Hadra of West Hartford as Speed; Reese Hart of Bloomfield as Duke of Milan; Marc Hilyard of Avon as Launce; Dajah Jackson of Hartford as Ensemble;Kadeem Jordan of Windsor as Thurio; Pearl Matteson of Wethersfield as Outlaw 2;Loren Milledge of Hartford as Ensemble; Ashley Morgan of Hartford as Luceta;Gina Salvatore of Wethersfield as Julia; Ben Stone of Farmington as Outlaw 1; andAshley Richards of Hartford as Silvia.

Performances of Breakdancing Shakespeare: Two Gentlemen of Verona will take place at 7 p.m. August 13-15 at Hartford Stage.

Started in 2006, Breakdancing Shakespeare is a paid, six-week summer apprenticeship for students ages 14 through 19 from the Greater Hartford area. Over the course of the program, students learn techniques of breakdancing, physical and vocal characterization, movement, and interpretation of classical text. They use these skills to put a modern twist on a classic Shakespeare piece, to help make Shakespeare's language accessible to audiences of all ages.

Previous Breakdancing Shakespeare productions include Romeo & Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Antony & Cleopatra, The Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing.
