Members of the cast of the Ivoryton Playhouse' upcoming show "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" showed their community spirit on Saturday, October 23rd by getting up extra early and participating in The Ivoryton Library's 5K run. This costume event to benefit reading programs at The Ivoryton Library was a terrific success - over two hundred people took part in the run. It was organized by Cathy Bishop of Essex, a veteran runner and indomitable organizer, and featured costumed runners from all along the shoreline.

Pictured here are cast members Solomon Landerman* and Neil Mayer* with Ivoryton Playhouse staff Beverley Galpin and Jacqui Hubbard - running in hospital gowns to advertise the upcoming show. Solomon, a natural runner who hails from California and will be playing Chief Bromden in the show, came in a respectable 8th!
