Hartt School Celebrates 90 Years of Performing Arts Education, 10/16

The Hartt School celebrates 90 years of world class performing arts education during the 2010-2011 academinc year with creative partnerships, unique residencies, and thought-provoking conversations. A fantastic gala celebration on October 16 will highlight The Hartt School's 90th anniversary year.

Celebrated flutist, writer, broadcast journalist, and entrepreneur Eugenia Zukerman will be in residence at Hartt and other areas of the University of Hartford in October and February. Ms. Zukerman will work with several colleges and departments of the University, teaching master classes in flute for The Hartt School, as well as meeting with broadcast journalism students, creative writing students, and health and science students from other schools of the University. Innovative dancer, choreographer, and theatrical director David Gordon will be in residence at The Hartt School this fall. Mr. Gordon will lead the Dance Division's senior class as well as twelve student actors from the Theatre Division in a joint composition class. Gordon will return in the spring with his dance company to prepare a new work on Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author.
