Arthur Miller's timeless play A View From The Bridge is set in a 1950s Italian American neighborhood near the Brooklyn Bridge. The play follows the life and downfall of longshoreman Eddie Carbone, whose obsession with his niece Catherine drives him to his own destruction. "I am very excited to be directing the first production of what promises to be an extremely diverse and elegant season at The Hartt Theatre Division," said Gray. "Arthur Miller's A View From The Bridge is one of the finest and most compelling plays of the American cannon. It will be a challenge and a privilege for our students to inhabit this dramatic piece, and the level of technical and emotional development required to bring the play to authentic life will be precisely the kind of process for which we feel our young actors train," he continued.Videos
