Hell's Kitchen is the musical story of an era in New York City history that will never come again. It takes place in the early 1960's in a neighborhood both feared and respected by those who stepped within it's borders.

It follows the life of Danny Vincente and his friends and family through the warmth and the heartbreak of their lives. It has doowop on street corners, street smart scams, rooftop sanctuaries, mobsters, strippers and the scintillating rock scene of the true 1960's. It has 25 songs based on the values of old Broadway.

The production will feature Bring in Da'Noise Bring in Da'Funk star Omar Edwards.

Hell's Kitchen The Musical opens February 11th at The Hudson Guild Theater at 441 West 26th Street (between 9th and 10th Avenues). TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THEATERMANIA 212-352-3101 or 1-866-811-4111. www.hellskitchenthemusical.com

Jon Montgomery adapted HELL'S KITCHEN THE MUSICAL from his Screenplay "THE KING OF 42ND STREET," which was adapted from a book he was writing of the same name. He teamed with the incredible piano playing composer Toby Kasavan. The score was written in 3 months as Jon and Toby worked brilliantly together. Jon would bring a lyric and melody to Toby and Toby would then add the scintillating piano feel. Jon immediately finished the book and a cast was put together. HELL'S KITCHEN was first showcased at 353 Studios in 2004. It was received beautifully, and the buzz was born. It was showcased two more times at the Grand Theater, The Fairfield Theater in Connecticut, and at The Players Theater. All shows were sellouts. The reaction was stunning.
Jon met the wonderful director JoAnn Oakes at a Dramatist Guild get together. He gave her a package that she listened to in her car on the way home, and another believer was on board. Joe Barros had choreographed the Showcase at The Players Theater and signed on to choreograph the Off Broadway run. Set Designer Emmett McConnell came to rehearsal one night and said " I have to do this show". Costumer Jennifer Anderson has been in love with the musical since she first saw it. Jon then believed it was time for this great show to hit the boards. With the help of the CFO, David Soares of Berkshire Capital for the business side of the musical, The Hudson Guild Theater was booked.
