HANSEL & GRETEL Plays Final Show at Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport 2/21

HANSEL & GRETEL, the pop rock musical, will play its final show at The Downtown Cabaret Theatre Children's Company in Bridgeport, Connecticut on February 21st.

Written and Directed by Artistic Director Bert Bernardi, this new version of the Grimms Brothers tale is set in the 'magical' 1980's and features a visual feast of 80's sights and sounds. Last seen at Downtown Cabaret six years ago, HANSEL & GRETEL was an audience favorite playing a sold out six week run. Returning to the show are Jimmy Johansmeyer (Hansel), Vanessa David (Gretel), Pamela Nastu Garrett (The Steppenmother),Maria Vee (Madame X) and Shelley Marsh Poggio (The Lady). Joining them are Jason Parry and Sophia Gall who play several characters.

HANSEL & GRETEL features sets by Delmar, Lighting by Hugh Hallinan, Costumes by Mr. Johansmeyer, Technical Direction by Steve Swatt and Production Stage Manager is Phill Hill.

The Downtown Cabaret Theatre Children's Company, now it its 28th season, is southern Connecticut's award-winning resident musical theatre for young audiences and families. Seated 'cabaret-style,' audience bring their own picnic lunch and snacks to enjoy during the show.
