SEBASTIAN JUNGER
Award-Winning Journalist and Bestselling Author (The Perfect Storm, WAR) Sebastian Junger is the internationally acclaimed, bestselling author of "The Perfect Storm," "A Death in Belmont" and "Fire." As a contributing editor to Vanity Fair and as a contributor to ABC News, he has covered major news stories. He has been awarded the National Magazine Award and an SAIS Novartis Prize for Journalism. Junger and photojournalist Tim Hetherington embedded with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team in Afghanistan. Reporting from the soldiers' perspective, Junger was at an outpost that saw more combat than almost anywhere else in the country. The result is his recent book, "WAR," and the Academy Award-nominated documentary, "Restrepo," that won the 2010 Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and aired on the National Geographic Channel

John Douglas, Legendary Profiler and FBI Investigative Support Unit Founder
John Douglas has hunted some of the most notorious and sadistic criminals of our time: the ‘Trailside Killer' in San Francisco, the ‘Atlanta child murderer,' the ‘Tylenol poisoner' and' Seattle's Green River killer,' the case that nearly ended his own life. He currently has an MSNBC pilot in development called "Mindhunter," in which cameras follow him into prisons where he interviews convicts. He confronted, interviewed and studied hundreds of serial killers - including Charles Manson, Richard Speck, John Wayne Gacy, David Berkowitz (Son of Sam), Donald Harvey and James Earl Ray - for a landmark study, to understand their motives and to get inside their minds. Former Special Agent John Douglas is a legendary figure in law enforcement and the model for the Scott Glenn character in "The Silence of the Lambs."

Ben Vereen
in an ‘Actors Studio-style' presentation hosted by Jerry Goehring, Executive Director of The Edgerton Center. In addition to videos clips of his career, the afternoon will feature a talkback with Mr. Vereen answering questions from the audience.
Few entertainers today are as accomplished or versatile as Ben Vereen. His legendary performances transcend time and have been woven into the fabric of this country's artistic legacy. His first love and passion is and always will be the stage. On Broadway, Ben Vereen has appeared in Wicked, Fosse, I'm Not Rappaport, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, Grind, Jelly's Last Jam and A Christmas Carol. His role in Pippin garnered him both the prestigious Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
For over 40 years, he has showcased his versatility and creativity, performing countless one-man shows not only in the United States, but also Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. He was the first simultaneous winner of the Entertainer of the Year, Rising Star, and Song and Dance Star awards from the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA).
